Recently, the Philippine Coast Guard sent a small plane with reporters to take photos over the Senbin Reef in the South China Sea.

According to the photos taken by the Philippine media, 26 Chinese fishing boats and a large Chinese marine police ship with a displacement of more than 4000 tons are moored outside the Senbin Reef, controlling the internal and external entrances and exits of the Senbin Reef.

These Chinese fishing boats moored side by side and then stopped there. So far, they have stopped for more than a week.

Philippine media said that these fishing boats were actually “militia ships” of China, which had been parked on the Senbin Reef for a long time “in the form of occupation”, and hoped that “international friends” would help the Philippines “to conduct justice”.

What is “occupation in form”? These islands and reefs in the South China Sea are our own. Well, our fishing boats can stop as they like. It’s our freedom to bask in the sun. Can you manage it in the Philippines.

And why should we send 26 fishing boats to bask in the sun on Sinbin Reef? You don’t have any points in your mind in the Philippines?

Look at the map first, and remember the location of the three islands and reefs, Meiji Reef, Renai Reef and Xianbin Reef.

These three islands and reefs belong to China, but now it is Meiji Reef and Xianbin Reef that are under the actual control of China, and Renai Reef is under the actual control of the Philippines. The two islands and reefs that we actually control are sandwiched between the Philippine personnel stationed on Renai Reef.

In those days, these islands and reefs were all controlled by China.

A long time ago, we built the first generation of stilted houses on Xianbin Reef, planted the five-star red flag and dispatched personnel. Because Xianbin Reef is basically the largest island and reef on the edge of the South China Sea, building stilted houses here is tantamount to declaring China’s sovereignty over all the islands and reefs behind.

In 1996, the Philippines blew up the high house set up by China on Sinbin Reef. It also blew up the sovereignty signs set up by China on Sinbin Reef, Xinyi Reef, Banyue Reef and Huangyan Island.

In the 1990s, China was very weak, and these islands and reefs were very close to the Philippine mainland and very far from the Chinese Mainland. It was very difficult for us to put forces at sea to conduct a comprehensive confrontation, but these islands and reefs were uninhabited islands, and it was also difficult for the Philippines to stay there for a long time. It was OK for us to conduct targeted confrontation.

In May 1999, the Philippines came up with a crooked idea and sent an old ship, the “Madre Hill” landing ship, which was commissioned in 1944, to take the initiative to run aground “sit on the beach” directly here at China’s Ren’ai Reef, and then stayed there. A small group of Filipino soldiers stationed on the ship.

According to international law, Renai Reef belongs to China, but this landing ship belongs to the Philippines.

The Philippines said that the ship ran aground here because of “mechanical failure”, and immediately sent someone to repair it, and then left.

After China’s protest, the Philippines made it clear that it would tow the ship and would not become the first country to violate the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea.

According to the negotiation between the two parties and humanitarian considerations, we allow the Philippines to regularly supply the personnel on the landing ship on the beach with fishing boats or civilian boats after passing the inspection of the Chinese maritime police.

However, this supply has lasted for 24 years. Up to now, the Philippines has not sent anyone to tow the landing ship.

For more than 20 years, China has sent a maritime police ship to guard the Philippine landing ship on the beach, and our people can’t go without them. In addition, many times over the years, the Philippine side has sent official ships or even warships to approach, trying to transport cement, concrete and other materials to build permanent buildings on the Ren’ai Reef, all of which were stopped by our maritime police ship.

Chinese marine police ships operating in the waters of Renai Reef

In March 2014, the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs publicly declared that Ren’ai Reef belonged to the land actually occupied by the Philippines, and the landing ships and personnel stationed there for more than 20 years were evidence, which was seriously negotiated and protested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

In addition, the Philippines has repeatedly tried to gradually encroach on the South China Sea.

On April 12, 2012, the Huangyan Island incident broke out, and 12 Chinese fishing boats were interfered by a Philippine warship when they were fishing in the Huangyan Island lagoon. Philippine soldiers even tried to catch Chinese fishermen trapped in the lagoon.

After receiving the fisherman’s request for help, two Chinese maritime surveillance ships rushed to the scene to confront the Philippine warships, and then the Philippine maritime police sent several ships for reinforcements. The Chinese maritime police also sent several ships for reinforcements. The two sides launched a confrontation in Huangyan Island.

On January 22, 2013, the Philippines, which deliberately expanded the situation, launched the so-called South China Sea arbitration at the instigation of the United States, to swallow China’s rights and interests in the South China Sea on a large scale.

In response, in February 2014, China announced the launch of reclamation projects in the South China Sea. As of June 2015, China has successively carried out reclamation projects in the South China Sea islands and reefs such as Nanxun Reef, Chigua Reef, Huayang Reef, Dongmen Reef, Yongshu Reef, Zhubi Reef and Meiji Reef.

Among them, Meiji Reef is a large island reef directly opposite Renai Reef. China has chosen to build an island here instead of Xianbin Reef behind Renai Reef. It has taken the Philippine face seriously.

The former Meiji Reef was like this. There were only a few tall houses on it. It was as hot as a steamer every day. The People’s Liberation Army stationed on it for a long time to defend China’s territory.

After 2015, Meiji Reef has become Meiji Island, with a large number of buildings built on it, aircraft port material warehouse, etc.

Can the island repair guarantee China’s territorial rights and interests in the South China Sea?

No, these islands are built to prevent a bunch of flies from sneaking around and disgusting to people. There is an island where people can store goods. It will be much easier to control here, but it is useless to guard the South China Sea by these islands alone.

On July 12, 2016, the so-called arbitration court set up by the Philippines at its own expense, with its own personnel, made the so-called “final award” on the so-called South China Sea arbitration case, ruled that the Philippines “won” the case, declared that the South China Sea did not belong to China, and denied the legitimacy of the “Jiuduan Line”.

Then the United States immediately dispatched two aircraft carrier battle groups, the “Reagan” and the “Stannis”, to support his son, the Philippines, to enter the South China Sea on a large scale.

In that year, the Chinese navy sent out all its assets, launched a large-scale confrontation between the two aircraft carrier battle groups in the South China Sea and the United States, launched a full armament war with the local rocket army, and put all strategic missiles on the brink of war.

Finally, the two aircraft carrier battle groups of the United States withdrew, and the so-called “arbitration in the South China Sea” ended. The attitude of the Philippines also turned 180 degrees, saying that it was willing to coexist peacefully with China and did not intend to destroy the status quo in the South China Sea.

This matter is not a problem at all. Under the principle of peaceful coexistence and common development, we can put aside the issue of benevolence reef for the time being. If the Philippines does not continue to engage in trouble, we will turn a blind eye to it, and the damaged ship will naturally rust away after being stranded there for decades.

But in 2023, the Philippines began to do things again.

On February 12, 2023, the United States Defense Minister Austin visited the Philippines, and then the two sides jointly announced the new agreement reached by the United States and the Philippines.

The United States and the Philippines said that the two sides would resume the joint patrol operation in the South China Sea, which was originally stopped after the large-scale confrontation between China and the United States in the South China Sea in 2016.

The United States and the Philippines said that the United States would build four new military bases in the Philippines and send troops.

The United States and the Philippines said that if Philippine ships and aircraft were attacked in the South China Sea, the United States would launch the United States-Philippines Joint Defense Treaty, which was specially emphasized by the United States Defense Minister at the press conference.

It is obvious that this is deliberately seeking trouble. The United States and the Philippines will launch a second round of attack on the South China Sea, trying to make trouble for China.

So China immediately dispatched 26 fishing boats to stay at Xianbin Reef.

“The same as occupation” is not right, but it is also right. This time, we are going to control Xianbin Reef.

In those days, we only built an island on the Meiji Reef to save face for the Philippines, while the Renai Reef remained unchanged, but the Philippines did not need this face.

Since we don’t want to, let’s directly control Xianbin Reef and make dumplings for Renai Reef.

Xianbin Reef is 45 nautical miles from Meiji Reef, 30 nautical miles from Renai Reef, and less than 100 nautical miles from Palawan Island, where the United States plans to build a new military base.

So 26 fishing boats are only the first step to control Xianbin Reef. Our fishing boats will not stay there for a long time to bask in the sun. I guess Tianjing will come to work soon.

The country is small but not inferior, weak but not afraid of strong, disrespectful and insulting its neighbors, greedy and clumsy.

Such a country will pay a price even if it does not perish. It is necessary to control a little less area, let alone China’s territorial waters.

Isn’t the United States planning to build a military base here? Let’s build a military base too. We will confront each other across 100 nautical miles.

In 2016, the US aircraft carrier battle group dared not fight with China in the South China Sea. Are they afraid now?

Jokes, I don’t know where the Philippines dare to think that the United States dare to support it.

China is very tolerant in the South China Sea. The islands and reefs in the South China Sea that China occupied several decades ago are not a few, but a group.

It would be more clear if it were shown on a map. The island and reef in the southernmost part of the South China Sea was originally ours, but China actually controlled a few, and the occupied ones were dense.

Don’t think peace and security are natural. Look at these occupied islands and reefs and you will know that as long as China weakens, malice and attack will come immediately.

It is no difficulty to clean up these islands and reefs directly with China’s current strength, but for the sake of peaceful development, we have endured these small problems and will find opportunities to recover them later.

Before China’s rise, every provocation by these small flies around could steal an island from China.

But after the rise of China, every provocation by these little flies around us is a legitimate and reasonable excuse for China, so that we can recover a piece of our own island without damaging the overall situation of peaceful development.

After the great confrontation between China and the United States in the South China Sea in 2016, we drove the American aircraft carrier battle group away, the ownership of the South China Sea was no longer in doubt. Those small flies wanted to invade the South China Sea by stealing the islands and reefs a little. These small actions were useless in the face of absolute force advantage, but we were not willing to use force for the time being.

But the other colors in the chart will turn red in the future.

Because China can’t be less.

The reason and the truth of the action are those little flies who are small, weak, rude, greedy and clumsy.
