Some people and some things are destined to be important gulfstream in the long history, and we are not qualified to evaluate them. But as individuals who have experienced the long history, we can still talk about our feelings.
On December 25, 1991, Gorbachev announced that he would resign from the presidency of the Soviet Union and transfer the right to use nuclear weapons to Russian President Yeltsin. That night, the red flag was lowered from the Kremlin and the Soviet Union was dissolved.
China and the Soviet Union had debates, and there were millions of Chen soldiers on the border. But in the final analysis, we are all members of the socialist family, and all contradictions are internal contradictions.
After the disintegration of the Soviet Union and the drastic changes in Eastern Europe, the socialist family fell apart.
If we do not consider the small countries with insufficient influence such as North Korea and Vietnam, China is the unique socialist country that can maintain international influence.
This position is unique in the world.
In many cases, “unique” means that a person or a country is outstanding, but in the environment at that time, “unique” means different from most countries.
This is very dangerous for the country.
There are many reasons why the United States can become a superpower dominating the world, but one of the reasons that cannot be ignored is that since the beginning of the Great Depression, the United States has given up the absolute free economy, absorbed the advantages of the planned economy, and saved the economic crisis by means of great infrastructure, macro-control, and work relief.
In the same way, there are many reasons for the disintegration of the Soviet Union, but one reason that cannot be ignored is that since the failure of Khrushchev’s reform and Brezhnev’s restoration, the Soviet Union fell into the cycle of planned economy and lost the opportunity to absorb the advantages of the market economy.
So the Soviet society can guarantee relative fairness, but the economic growth is weak. Without the rise in oil prices in the 1980s, the situation of “the Soviet Union attacking the United States and defending the Soviet Union” would have been impossible. The outbreak of internal contradictions in the Soviet Union might have been ahead of time.
Therefore, as a “unique” socialist country with international influence, China’s future is a big problem.
In fact, there was no choice at that time.
China has no choice but to feel the United States cross the river.
The United States takes the market economy as the basic plate and absorbs the advantages of the planned economy. China can only do the opposite, taking the planned economy and public ownership as the basic plate and absorbing the advantages of the market economy to form a pattern of combining Chinese and Western.
Twenty four days after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, in the face of endless debates between the public and the private, the left and the right, and the capital and the society, Comrade Xiaoping still went south on January 18, 1992 to inspect Wuhan, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shanghai and other places, and delivered a series of important speeches to break the debate and set the tone for the socialist market economy.
Looking back now, no matter what the parties have said about this matter, it is undeniable that this matter has greatly changed the fate of our country and the views of the world on our country.
In the economic field, China has also avoided the old path of the Soviet Union and embarked on the path of globalization that shares a common destiny with the world.
At the 14th National Congress held in October of the same year, he presided over the meeting at the age of 67, which consolidated the basic requirements of Comrade Xiaoping’s speech on his southern tour and established two economic goals:
The whole Party seized the opportunity and concentrated on economic development.
China should establish a socialist market economy.
The voice of the highest place spread to all parts of the country, and a grand economic plan was launched. Every year, there is a bumper harvest of grain, new progress is made every year, and GDP growth rate is extremely high. In those years, 100000 cadres who went overseas to do business became entrepreneurs of the “92 faction”, and now they account for half of the private economy.
The era we are familiar with, which is high and upward, started in 1992.
If Comrade Xiaoping sets the course for this big ship, he is the one who starts the engine with great effort, and he is the key figure connecting the past and the future.
In any respect, China today is deeply branded by him.

The disintegration of the Soviet Union and the drastic changes in Eastern Europe inevitably had a huge impact on the domestic spiritual culture, leading to the belief crisis in China in the 1990s.
Many people are confused about the way ahead and at a loss for the reality. It is urgent for someone to point out the direction of the way ahead, gather consensus and look forward together.
In 1979, Comrade Xiaoping put forward the “Four Basic Principles” at the theoretical work retreat:
We must adhere to the socialist road.
We must uphold the people’s democratic dictatorship.
We must uphold the leadership of the CPC.
We must adhere to Marxism Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought.
In 1997, when Comrade Xiaoping died, he wrote “Deng Xiaoping Theory” into the Party Constitution. In addition to the socialist market economy, the “Four Basic Principles” are an important part of “Deng Xiaoping Theory”.
Three years later, he proposed the “Three Represents” as an important supplement to the theory:
The CPC always represents the development requirements of China’s advanced productive forces, the direction of China’s advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.
Now, in that era of confusion, these things were gradually promoted, and finally played the role of ballast.
In addition, he did two important things during his tenure.
One is the reform of the tax sharing system in 1994, which basically changed the financial distribution pattern of more local governments and less central governments. Only when the central government has money can it invest in large infrastructure projects and embark on projects that affect the future and destiny of the country.
Today’s economic pattern and social environment depend on the reform of the tax sharing system in 1994.
The other thing is that the military cannot do business.
The army is the country’s machine of violence. Since ancient times, the primary condition for the army to obey the state’s orders is that it has no independent finance and logistics, and all expenditures depend on the state’s allocation.
Once the army had independent finance and logistics, there would be a provincial envoy in the late Tang Dynasty and a Hunan Huaihe army in the late Qing Dynasty.
Since the reform and opening up, in the general environment of business for all, the military has also joined the ranks of business, and the industry is widely distributed. Hotels, gas stations, wharves, etc. are all inclusive, showing preliminary signs of financial independence.
But an order that “the army cannot do business” curbed this sign of danger.
These three specific events serve as a connecting link between the preceding and the following in the ideological, economic and military fields, creating the basic conditions for today’s strong and prosperous China.

When our generation grew up, it was at a special historical stage when the west wind overtook the east wind. The news we heard and saw basically came from the west. Even the official news, we should also use western materials to prove it.
Therefore, we inevitably have all kinds of misunderstandings about him.
As our generation has grown up, the world is undergoing dramatic changes and countries are rising rapidly. Our understanding of the country and society has also gained some depth. When we look back on history, we find that:
Those people and things that we once did not think highly of have such a profound impact on the current era.
He was a person who really changed history in that era.
And different from the important people of various countries at the same time, he can be interviewed fluently in the second language, can conduct the chorus, and is an expert in the field of electronic industry, which can be said to be versatile.
This kind of politician with rich artistic cells and cheerful personality is also rare in all ages and at home and abroad.
Conscious of this, we will reflect on history and ourselves. After we understand it, we will get the sublimation of thought and cognition.
Every time I read this, I couldn’t help feeling ashamed of him.
However, the process of re understanding ourselves and history is also a process of continuous progress of the country. On this road of progress, individuals and the country are synchronized.
It is because of this that his greatness can be highlighted through the fog.
The teacher wrote in “Buzao Yongmei”: “When the mountain flowers are in bloom, she will laugh in the bushes”, which is also suitable for him.
The American writer said that he had changed China, which is true.
Without such a connecting figure, it is impossible to imagine where China would go in the dangerous internal and external environment of the 1990s.
It is precisely because of this old captain at the helm that we can cross mountains and rivers and enter a new historical stage.
Each generation has its own Long March. He has completed the Long March of that generation. I think history should be satisfied with the answers submitted by the generation represented by him.
Jianggong is immortal.
In addition to gratitude, we also miss the era of high spirits, the era of opportunities, the era of new changes every day, and the era when ordinary people have something to do.
Looking back now, that era is like youth that can never be returned.
But youth will eventually pass, and each of us will face the real world with an uncertain future. Our country will also fight against the developed countries that have dominated the world for hundreds of years.
No matter how good our youth is, we must also rise to the challenge. This is a new challenge that individuals and countries must face after their youth.
Yesterday’s heavy snow sent the last elegy to the times we are familiar with. Guangzhou opened up the veil of a new era. In the days to come, the old experience is basically invalid. Every step we take is a new road.
History has thus gone through the watershed and opened a new page.
