According to reports, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, Shivaraji Singh Chauhan visited the victim, praised his courage, announced that he would bear all his medical expenses and gave him 100,000 rupees (about 8,600 yuan). “She has set an example for others,” Shivaraj said, adding that the suspect will be severely punished.
