The first founding general to serve as the Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee was Suzhenhua, who served as the Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee.
In november1949, after the liberation of Guiyang, Suzhenhua was appointed secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee. At the same time, he also served as commander and political commissar of the Guizhou military region, making important contributions to the stability and development of Guizhou after the liberation.
During his tenure as secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, Suzhenhua had a story that made people very emotional.
When Guiyang was just liberated, the common people had a very difficult life. Beggars who fell to the ground could often be seen in the streets.
Once, when Suzhenhua went out to do business, he found an old man naked. So Suzhenhua took off his clothes and gave them to him.
Suzhenhua went on and saw another man. His clothes were very tattered. Suzhenhua took off his shirt and gave it to the man.
In this way, Suzhenhua could not help but take off his clothes and gave them to these poor people. Finally, he sent out his shoes and socks. When he got home, he was left with only a pair of shorts.
Suzhenhua was very impressed by this incident. Later, he often spoke at the conference and vowed to build Guizhou well and let the people live a good life.
Suzhenhua worked in Guizhou until may1954, when he was transferred to the Navy as political commissar, and later served as secretary of the Shanghai municipal Party committee.
The second general to serve as the Secretary of the provincial Party committee was songrenqiong, who served as the first Secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party committee in August 1950.
Songrenqiong, a native of Liuyang, Hunan Province, has participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising and gone to Jinggangshan. He has always been a beloved general trusted by Chairman Mao.
After the founding of the people’s Republic of China, song renqiong led the fourth corps of the second field army to march into the southwest, liberated Yunnan, stayed in Yunnan and was appointed the first Secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party committee in August 1950.
Please note that the Second Secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party committee at that time was Chen Geng, who had a higher rank than song renqiong.
Later, songrenqiong was transferred to the Central Committee, where he served as deputy director of the Organization Department of the Central Committee and the first deputy director of the general cadre Department of the people’s Liberation Army. Later, he also served as the first Secretary of the Northeast Bureau, the first political commissar of the Shenyang Military Region and the director of the Organization Department of the Central Committee. He has always been in a high position.
After song renqiong stepped down as secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party committee, he was replaced by a founding general, xiefuzhi.
Xiefuzhi, a native of Hong’an, Hubei Province, is an outstanding general of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army. In 1952, he succeeded songrenqiong as secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party committee, chairman of the Yunnan Provincial People’s government, commander and political commissar of the Kunming Military Region.
Xiefuzhi later served as Minister of public security, Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party committee, political commissar of the Beijing Military Region, Vice Premier and other posts, and his position was also very high.
In addition, the third founding general in Yunnan who served as the Secretary of the provincial Party committee was yanhongyan, who also served as the Secretary of the provincial Party committee of two provinces.
Yanhongyan, a native of Zichang County, Shaanxi Province, is a representative of the Northern Shaanxi Red Army. When he was awarded the title in 1955, yanhongyan should not have participated in the title because he worked locally. However, Chairman Mao thought that there should be a general in the Northern Shaanxi Red Army, so he named yanhongyan a general.
In 1952, yanhongyan was appointed secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee. In 1959, he also served as secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee. One person served as secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee of two provinces, which was the only general among the founding generals.
Guangdong also has two founding generals who served as the Secretary of the provincial Party committee. The first is huangyongsheng.
Huangyongsheng, a native of Xianning, Hubei Province, took part in the autumn harvest uprising led by Chairman Mao and climbed the Jinggangshan mountain with Chairman Mao. Even the name “huangyongsheng” was changed by Chairman Mao.
In the revolutionary war years, huangyongsheng was also a fierce general, who made numerous military achievements. However, after the founding of the people’s Republic of China, he followed LinBiao on a wrong path, which is regrettable.
Huangyongsheng began to serve as the Secretary of the Guangdong provincial Party committee in February1968. He also served as the commander of the Guangzhou Military Region and the chief of the general staff of the people’s Liberation Army.
The second founding general to serve as secretary of the Guangdong provincial Party committee was weiguoqing.
Weiguoqing, a native of Donglan County, Guangxi, participated in the Baise uprising and began to serve as the Secretary of the Guangdong provincial Party committee in 1976.
In addition, weiguoqing also served as chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government, director of the General Political Department of the people’s Liberation Army, vice chairman of the National People’s Congress and vice chairman of the CPPCC, especially the latter two posts. Among the 57 founding generals, only two have served, one is weiguoqing and the other is WuLanfu.
In Fujian, there were also two founding generals who served as the Secretary of the provincial Party committee. The first was Ye Fei.
Yefei’s life is very legendary. His ancestral home is Fujian. He was born in the Philippines. Later, he returned to China to participate in the revolution. He served as commander and political commissar of the first column of the East China Field Army and commander of the 10th corps of the third field army. He is a famous general under Chen Yi and Su Yu.
After the founding of the people’s Republic of China, ye Fei served as the first Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, governor of Fujian Province, commander and political commissar of the Fuzhou military region, and later served as the commander of the Navy, Minister of communications, and President of overseas Chinese University. His ability is very comprehensive.
The second founding general to serve as secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee was Han Xianchu.
Han Xianchu, a native of Hong’an, Hubei Province, took part in the jute uprising. During the war of liberation, he led the Northeast Field Army in four directions across the northeast, invincible, and was known as the “whirlwind commander”.
Later, Han Xianchu led his troops south to Hainan Island, and then thousands of miles north to participate in the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea.
From 1971 to 1973, Han Xianchu served as secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee.
There is also general Yang Dezhi, who served as the Secretary of Shandong provincial Party committee from 1971 to 1974.
Yangdezhi, a native of Liling, Hunan Province, took part in the southern Hunan uprising and climbed the Jinggangshan mountain with Mr. Zhu. The famous crossing of the Dadu River during the long march of the Red Army is the masterpiece of the 1st regiment of the 1st division of the 1st Red Army led by yangdezhi.
General yangdezhi’s main achievements are still in the military. He served as commander of Jinan Military Region, commander of Wuhan military region, commander of Kunming Military Region, Deputy Minister of national defense, and chief of the general staff of the people’s Liberation Army. He also commanded the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam with xushiyou.
General chenxilian served as secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee from 1971 to 1973.
Chenxilian, a native of Hong’an, Hubei Province, is a strong general of our army. The famous night attack on Yangmingbao airport during the Anti Japanese war is chenxilian’s masterpiece.
In addition to serving as secretary of the Liaoning provincial Party committee, chenxilian has also served as commander of the artillery, commander of the Shenyang Military Region, commander of the Beijing Military Region and vice premier. His position is very high.
