It should be said that the creation team of illustrations is very thoughtful.
This is part of the whole problem.
Is it that their aesthetic taste is so strong? Will Wu Yong educate his own children with these sexual hints and child pornography elements?
Looking at other works of this person, his own aesthetic appreciation does not show any abnormality. Why are there so many problems in creating textbook illustrations for Chinese children? Can we have a better explanation than deliberate?
Within one year after Wu Yong established his studio in 1998, he obtained orders from famous national institutions such as Novartis, Royal Ballet, Boston Symphony Orchestra, UNICEF, etc. with a start-up studio. Is there no external force to focus on support, packaging and penetration?
Considering that Wu Yong graduated from the school of art of Tsinghua University and the key figure behind the illustration incident, Lu Jingren, who studied with Professor Kangping suguura of Kobe University of Arts and technology, and is now a professor of the school of fine arts of Tsinghua University, is even more uneasy. The squinting works of this art institute challenge Chinese aesthetics, cater to the stereotyped and vilified image of Chinese people in the west, and the illustrations of teaching materials vilify the image of Chinese children. Is there no connection between them?
There are stars and stripes in the illustrations, foreign military aircraft, Chinese five-star red flags hanging upside down, a large number of child pornography in the paintings, and deliberate vilification of Chinese children’s images. Which of these is not only intentional and deliberate, can be concentrated in the illustrations produced by the same studio?
Chinese people have rarely been so angry, but this time it is about the children of hundreds of millions of families, about so many families, and about the future of the country. It is terrible not to be angry.
However, the anger of the masses is not enough. The competent authorities must also find out the real motives of the responsible persons.
The field of education is an important department of ideology, and the Ministry of education should be responsible for its own affairs. It’s not right to find the problem in time. Such a serious problem should not be noticed by netizens after they have discovered and formed a phenomenal public opinion event. Now that we have finally realized the problem, there is no reason to avoid the core issue of ideological infiltration.
Even though it is beyond the authority of the Ministry of education and cannot be investigated from the perspective of peaceful evolution and color revolution, we have other departments and can not easily let go of this issue.
From Wu Yong to his teachers, whether there is a chain of internal and external collusion to infiltrate Chinese students’ values should not be avoided.
The teaching materials with problem illustrations have been used for so many years, and the harm is much more serious than the one who is corrupt for 100 million. The latter can be sentenced to life at least.
Considering the seriousness of social harm, Wu Yong’s studio and the Chinese “illustrator” behind it, as well as the relevant responsible persons of the people’s education society, their responsibilities should not be limited to the civil category or administrative sanctions.
If there are corresponding charges in the current criminal law, they should be included in the crime.
If not, it means that there are still security loopholes in our legal system, and we should take the opportunity to fill them.
This is a serious matter. We can’t just “punish ourselves for three cups”.
Children are the hope of China. Education is related to China’s future. There is no trivial matter in the teaching materials of students, let alone such a serious matter.
The frequent occurrence of textbook incidents shows that there is a loophole in our ideological defense line and that our opponents are already making use of this loophole.
Hong Kong and Taiwan have already given answers to the serious consequences of problems in teaching materials.
There are painful lessons to be learned, and the field of teaching materials should be strictly guarded against such errors.
In fact, it is hard to imagine that such a problem would still occur if it was not deliberately done by someone and based on the strict procedures of textbook review. Moreover, similar situations have not only happened once. When I think about it carefully, my back is really cold.
In the textbooks compiled by some localities, there are even illustrations of soldiers of the Japanese aggressor army under the theme of learning from Lei Feng. If this can be explained by work mistakes, I have nothing to say. Similar serious incidents can not be solved by dismissing several responsible persons or giving serious warnings.
Teaching materials should not be allowed to go wrong, which should be the bottom line of our ideology.
Only by severely punishing those who violate this bottom line and cause serious social harm can we generate sufficient deterrence.
There are some mistakes that we can’t make, let alone appear one after another. Teaching materials belong to this kind. How many children can be affected by a problem textbook that has been used for eight or nine years? How many children can be imperceptibly and irreversibly affected? Affecting a family is a disaster.
Therefore, we should not let go of some mistakes easily, and those responsible for them deliberately should not be let go of easily.
