Now many people call him “teacher”, and many people think that the word “teacher” does not respect him enough.

In public information, Mao Zedong first claimed to be a teacher in 1936, when American journalist snow came to Yan’an to interview him. It was also that time that he publicly told his life experience. He said that during his study in Changsha, he seriously considered the future, and the result was that he was “most suitable for teaching”; It is a last resort to embark on the revolutionary road.
As you can see, when he was young, he wanted to be a teacher, but he was forced to take up the pen and gun.
After the founding of the people’s Republic of China, similar ideas were expressed several times.
In June, 1960, when Mao Zedong met with the Japanese literature delegation, he said that the normal school I attended was intended to be a teacher. He did not expect to go to war later.
When Chairman Mao met with the Chilean delegation in june1964, he said, “I am an intellectual. I am a primary school teacher. I have never studied military. How can I know how to fight?”
In december1970, Mao Zedong met with snow again. When it comes to the issue of personal worship, he said bluntly: “what are the ‘four greats’? Annoying will be removed one day. There will only be one teacher left, that is, a teacher. Because I was a teacher, and now I am still a teacher, and all the others will resign.”
In fact, when you think about it carefully, his work in the fields of politics, military affairs and philosophy is really like that of a teacher. It is just that ordinary teachers teach general knowledge, while they teach macro strategy, mode of thinking and principles of national operation. However, his ideas are often distorted by the lower levels when they are implemented—— This is his difficulty.
Apart from other things, taking the “eradication of underworld and evil” as an example, the Mao Zedong era has made such a great effort to set the tone (making great efforts to dig an umbrella), but now, some people still try not to follow that path.
