In ancient times, there was a Fuyang man named dongzhaozhi who once crossed the Qiantang River by boat. When the boat reached the middle of the river, it suddenly found a three foot long reed floating in the river. There was an ant on the reed, crawling around in a hurry, constantly crawling from one end to the other, and it was about to fall into the river and drown.
Dongzhaozhi was a kind-hearted man. He let the boat approach the reeds and wanted to pick them up with ants. The people on the boat objected: “ This is a poisonous insect that stings people. If you dare to take it on board, we will trample it to death& rdquo; Dongzhaozhi had no choice, so he tied the reed with a rope at one end and tied it to the side of the boat at the other end, dragging ants to the shore. The ant narrowly escaped death, climbed onto the land and ran away quickly.
That night, dongzhaozhi had a dream that hundreds of people dressed in black came to him. A man in black saluted and thanked him, saying: “ I am the king of ants. I accidentally fell into the river today. Fortunately, you saved my life. If you need anything in the future, please let me know and I will try my best to help you& rdquo;
When dongzhaozhi woke up, he thought the dream was absurd and ignored it.
A few years later, dongzhaozhi was imprisoned because he had offended the government by defending his rights everywhere. He had no way to appeal and could not get away. In desperation, he thought of the absurd dream, and thought it might be a better idea to have a try. He found some ants in the prison and said to them: “ I’m Fuyang dongzhaozhi. I’m in prison. Go tell your king and let him find a way to save me& rdquo;
The ants were stunned for a while and hurried away.
However, there was no news for the next three days. Dongzhaozhi was a little desperate. He even felt so bored that he went to talk to ants foolishly.
Three days later, it rained heavily and thundered. In his sleep, dongzhaozhi dreamed of the Ant King in black. The ant king shouted: “ Get up! Get up& rdquo; Dongzhaozhi suddenly woke up and looked around. Suddenly, the wall in the corner of the cell “ Hua La ” A hole collapsed and thousands of ants crawled away from the hole. Dongzhaozhi knew that this was the escape route that the Ant King led the ants to worm out. He bowed to the ants with gratitude and escaped from the prison on a thunderstorm night.
Later, dongzhaozhi has always warned his descendants that they should start from the bit by bit in order to accumulate virtue and do good deeds, and do not do it because it is small.
