Looking back on the past, the closest to us was the period of the Republic of China, but it was an era when a group of heroes gathered. For example, Huo Yuanjia, the hero of Jinmen, and Du Xinwu, the hero of Guandong, and the one to be talked about today is Lu Zijian, the hero of the Yangtze River, who is as famous as Huo Yuanjia and Du Xinwu.

Lu Zijian was born in 1893 in a famous martial arts family in Yichang, Hubei. He began to practice martial arts with his father and mother at the age of seven. In 1905, his family sent 12-year-old Lu Zijian to Li Guocao to practice martial arts. Under the strict control of Mr. Li Guocao, Lu Zijian has laid a solid foundation in martial arts since childhood.

Lu Zijian’s ideal is to become a master, so she went to Mount Emei after that, and studied under Li Changye’s door, and spent eight years mastering the “Wandering Bagua Serial Palm”. After that, she studied in Jingmen, Hubei. Iron-legged Jiang Ying, and Wudang’s Zixiao Daoist Xu Benshan, have several unique skills in one.

In 1924, Lu Zuofu, chairman of the Minsheng Steamship Company, asked Lu Zijian to fight against the Japanese ronin leader Hideo Mitsui in the military field of the Yichang school in order to get rid of the imperialists’ control of the shipping rights in the Yangtze River. The war between the two sides was about to break out, and Hideo Mitsui was a taekwondo practitioner who was born in a hurry. Lu Zijian didn’t keep his hand either, and a black tiger hit Hideo Mitsui’s heart with a deadly move. Since then, Lu Zijian has been known as “The Hero of the Yangtze River”.

After the end of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945, American five-star general Marshall visited China, and he also brought a bodyguard named Tom John. This person is a famous American boxer, with a very tall stature and a little hard work. He even publicly put down the ring to challenge Chinese Kung Fu.

Marshall is also very supportive of this. He said that China is a big country in martial arts. Tom John has always wanted to experience Chinese Kung Fu, and Jiang also agreed. Tom John still has a certain strength, even defeating 3 challengers in a row, Tom John immediately swelled, claiming that no one is his opponent in China.

Lu Zijian couldn’t stand it any longer, so he walked to the ring. When Tom Newham saw that he was actually an old man in sixties, he laughed out loud, but in the face of Tom Newham’s provocation Lu Zijian, he didn’t take it seriously at all. Instead, he asked to sign a life and death certificate.

The battle between the two sides was about to break out, and the moment the whistle sounded, Tom Newham immediately threw a fierce straight fist at Lu Zijian. Han’s face smashed through the door, and it was this move that took Tom Newham’s life.

Amid the waves of applause, Lu Zijian strode off the stage. Tom Newham, who fell to the ground, was taken to the hospital and died two days later. Lu Zijian’s battle can be described as a great display of national prestige, and his fame has reached a new height. In addition to martial arts, Lu Zijian was also proficient in medical skills, so he had a special longevity and lived until October 21, 2012, when he died in Chongqing at the age of 118.
