Congratulations, you accidentally touched upon the essence of the Western propaganda system – the right to define standards.
What is the standard definition right?
Give a simple example.
Mr. Zhou wants to participate in the selection of a certain position, but his comprehensive conditions are very poor. What should he do?
So Mr. Zhou and his uncle approached the relevant person in charge and greeted them.
After the relevant person in charge became aware, the standards for the position were set.
Job requirement 1: Proficient in drinking tea, with experience in tea tasting with a unit price of over 200000 yuan is a priority.
Job requirement 2: Candidates with experience in receiving CEOs from listed companies or state-owned enterprises are preferred.
Job requirement 3: Experience in delivering cigarettes in person by cadres at the provincial or ministerial level is required.
Job requirement 4: Long term deep cultivation in a certain industry requires tracing back to three generations of work experience.
Upon seeing it, Uncle Zhou was very satisfied and convinced that his nephew was the only candidate who could meet the above conditions.
After the final selection, the relevant units issued the following announcement:
Zhou Gongzi has strong social activity abilities and has been deeply involved in the industry for many years. He has inherited the craftsmanship spirit of three generations and is highly valued by leaders at all levels of the province and city. He is a rare talent and an irreplaceable candidate for this position.
After a strict selection procedure, Mr. Zhou has achieved excellent results in written examination, interview and Background check. Therefore, we hereby appoint Mr. Zhou as the person in charge of the position.
Everyone, at first glance, maybe it’s time to curse – isn’t this a carrot recruitment?
Yes, this is radish recruitment, which directly designs selection criteria based on the advantages of the target audience.
The final result is that no matter how good the other candidates are, they cannot score higher than Mr. Zhou’s score.
And you can’t even say that this thing violates regulations, because these standards are all public.
The Western propaganda routine is well versed in this.
For example, the democratic system of ancient Greece.
Speaking of it, it’s quite tall.
What kind of civic assembly, what kind of citizen equality, what kind of referendum.
Oh, it sounds so tall.
Upon closer inspection, what is a citizen?
Slaves are not counted, foreigners are not counted, women are not counted, and children are not counted. At last glance, only over 10000 people are eligible to participate in the civic assembly, even less than 4% of the total population.
Forget it, in fact, the number of participants in the civic assembly is usually only five to six thousand – a smaller proportion.
This is clearly tribal democracy (in fact, Athens is a typical city-state formed by tribal alliances). How can it be the origin of modern democracy?
The tribal assembly widely exists among Nomad, which is also used to vote for leaders. Some even developed tribal Indirect election——
Representatives from each tribe are elected to participate in the general election in the tribal alliance.
If the democratic system of ancient Greece can also be called the light of civilization, why can’t Nomad be called the light of civilization?
On the contrary, is it necessary to be given various titles such as “the whip of God” by Western history?
But you still can’t argue with Western propaganda tactics.
Why?
For hundreds of years, countless Western scholars have written countless books on politics and sociology around the ancient Greek democracy, creating a variety of proper noun and theoretical systems.
These theories and terms are set according to the system of ancient Greece (especially Athens), how can you compare with others?
For example, in the Athenian Revolution, ten new tribes replaced the original tribes, and then each tribe elected 50 members to form a 500 member conference——
This is known as the origin of modern parliament.
Here comes the problem.
Nomad will also choose tribal representatives, but we don’t call them councilors, can we call them elders? Can we call the chief? Can we call the Chancellor of Parliament?
Can we call the Nomad’s congress Kurultai rather than a parliament or a meeting of five hundred people? Can we call it the Deliberative Council of Princes and Ministers?
What?
Do you think these conferences have elected leaders of major families and nobles?
So what?
You Athenian citizens make up less than 4% of the total population. Do you think calling yourself a commoner is not a privileged class?
Then others began to splash and roll, talking about the spirit of liberalism, the radiance of democratic thought, and so on.
Why do I say that when the West promotes Athenian democracy, the slogans they use are all empty headed and brainless?
It’s very simple. Nowadays, the West always says that the core of Athenian democratic thought is equality before the law.
Then I said, in China, it is also said that “the emperor commits the same crime as the common people”, so we are all equal before the law.
But they just said that we are not thinking about the rule of law, they are.
As soon as you ask them why, they start talking about the power of citizens and the light of democracy······
Anyway, it’s just not mentioning that the laws of Athens are different for women, children, Gentiles, and slaves.
Do you think it’s strange?
If there is such a spirit of freedom, democracy and equality in the history of the West, why does no one shout a slogan of “princes, generals and ministers, it is better to have seed”, and rise up to praise all the nobles?
A country that cries for democracy, freedom and equality of the people every day. As a result, the noble class has continued to this day, and the common people are still calm!
You can even create a yellow nest!
At that time, Huang Chao directly exterminated China’s nobles and aristocratic families, completely cutting off China’s feudal politics.
How did the aristocratic class in Athens come about?
Unlike China, our ancient Chinese nobility was mainly differentiated from military achievements.
The aristocracy in Athens were differentiated according to capital——
To put it bluntly, it means who has the wealthier family.
What about ancient Rome?
According to Levy, the aristocracy of ancient Rome originated from the era of Romulus, and came from Romulus’ designation of 100 members of the Presbyterian group——
The descendants of these 100 elders are nobles.
Cicero, another List of political scientists in ancient Rome, also held a similar view:
It is believed that the aristocratic status of ancient Rome depended on the seniority and inheritance of family glory.
The late Greek historian Dionysius believed that:
In addition to being born noble, the nobles of ancient Rome also had a significant amount of wealth as an important factor in maintaining their noble status, while the commoners were those born lowly and poor who needed to be protected by the nobles.
Another interesting thing is:
Historians in the 18th and 19th centuries held the same view as contemporary historians in ancient Rome, believing that the nobles in ancient Rome were derived from power, wealth and identity.
For example, German archaeologist and historian Munsen believed that the aristocracy of Rome originated from the earliest 300 clan lineages of the Roman Commune.
Civilians are people who are dependent on or excluded from these large clans.
Another German historian, Bartold Georg Niebuer, also believed that the earliest tribes and clans in ancient Rome were aristocratic clans.
But later on, the Western historical community began to gradually oppose this claim, gradually becoming that the common people of ancient Rome had the same ruling power.
So, you will find that Western propaganda tactics are purely carrot recruitment, and you have no place to reason under their tactics.
Just like the papyrus mentioned in the title.
As long as people define the papyrus mat as “paper”, they will become the inventor of Papermaking.
What you need to argue with others is not whether papyrus is “paper”, but what kind of standard can be called “paper”.
Similarly, there is a definition of civilization.
At the beginning, the West held the three elements of civilization and said that China did not have the Xia and Shang dynasties, but only had a history of three thousand years.
After the discovery of oracle bone inscriptions, they had to recognize the Shang Dynasty, but still did not recognize the Xia Dynasty.
When the evidence of the Xia Dynasty became more and more abundant, especially when more and more “characters” were discovered, they began to redefine “characters”, saying that the “characters” discovered in the Xia Dynasty were not words, but “symbols”.
As for their crooked lines thousands of years ago, why are they called linear characters instead of “symbols”? You can’t handle them anyway.
In the end, you will find that no matter how much evidence you look for, they just need to constantly modify the standards, so what you really need to grab is the right to define the standards.
Similar issues can also be extended to ‘science’.
In Western language, there are a series of standards set for the definition of “science”. In the end, all ancient civilizations around the world do not have science, and only the West has science.
As soon as you ask him, why has ancient Western civilization been hung and beaten by Eastern civilization for a long time?
People start talking to you about induction, deduction, freedom of thought, and the tradition of science······
As soon as you ask him, why did ancient Greece have such a developed astronomy, where the moon and sun were calculated, but the astronomical observation records were pitifully scarce?
They start talking to you about astronomical observations being just a summary of experience, not a scientific deduction.
Do you refute others by saying that there are no records of astronomical observations? Is science imagined out of thin air?
They start talking to you about a free social environment and a good academic atmosphere.
The slavery system in ancient China was generally characterized by “one person being a slave, one generation being a slave”, and slaves were the appendages of nobles without independent consciousness and self.
However, taking Athens as an example, in the slavery system implemented in ancient Greece, slaves were often served by poor free men.
These slave groups, composed of a large number of free individuals, have the freedom to participate freely in various industries such as agriculture, handicrafts, industry and commerce, in addition to being unable to participate in decision-making in the superstructure.
This allows them to have their own freedom and the ability and desire to explore other things in their leisure life after work.
The special slavery system in ancient Greece provided an important soil for the free development of scientific thought in ancient Greece.
——Extracted from the theology of a doctoral student.
What’s even funnier is the field of ancient architecture.
Some people look down on ancient Chinese architecture and often say:
There was no mechanics or mathematics in ancient Chinese architecture, because there was no mechanics or mathematics in ancient China.
These people really don’t know what they are thinking day by day. arch of wooden architecture and beam structure are beyond the physical laws, and can be built without mechanics and mathematics, right?
These people also say that Western arch structures and dome structures have mechanics and mathematics.
Then you show them photos of the arches and vaulted tombs of the Han Dynasty, and they say that the arches buried in the ground do not require mechanics because they can rely on the lateral thrust of the earth·······
Then you tell them that Western arched buildings, often with thick walls measuring several meters, actually serve to counteract lateral thrust.
So they began to say that without mathematical axioms and scientific deduction, it can only be regarded as Empiricism.
In short, no matter what you say, with any amount of evidence, they can give you a way back into the Western discourse system.
Anyway, it’s just a flexible double label——
As long as it is Western, both good and bad are scientific; Anything that is not Western, good or bad, is unscientific.
As for why the ancient Greeks of two or three thousand years were so great, preferring to sacrifice their own productivity, be beaten by other civilizations, and ultimately perish, they had to study science for humanity two or three thousand years later——
I can only call it a fearless spirit of ancient humans.
In short, for some people, it doesn’t matter at all what the situation itself is like.
