Who is Dihu? One of the five emperors of the three emperors and five emperors in ancient times. There are different versions of the five emperors in historical books. We take the historical records as the standard. The Five Emperors: the Yellow Emperor, Zhuanxu, Dihu, Yao and shun. It is obvious that the first three are more divine, and the latter two return to human nature. Dihu is the node of this transformation. In other words, the leaders before Dihu had the ability that human beings did not have, and could communicate with heaven without obstacles. For example, Jiutian Xuannv taught the art of war of the Yellow Emperor, the yellow emperor ascended to heaven by dragon, and Zhuanxu fought for the throne with Gonggong, which caused a real disaster, so there was the story of Gonggong bumping into Buzhou mountain and Nuwa mending the sky.
When we arrived at Dihu, the real magic was not Dihu, but Dihu’s daughters-in-law, the eldest daughter-in-law Jiang Yuan, who was pregnant after stepping on the giant’s footprints and gave birth to a son; Jane Di, the second daughter-in-law, swallowed the eggs of Xuanniao and became pregnant, giving birth to a son Qi; There are also two sons who grew up in grandma’s house, Fang Xun and Zhi, both of whom were born to di Hu’s different wives. Is there any trace of imitation? In ancient times, there were so many emperors, only the Yellow Emperor and the emperor were born gods. What are gods? Gods do not mean clever, but gods worshipped by people in ancient times. The biography of Gongyang · twenty-one years of the Duke has: “I depend on the gods of the country, and my country has a king.”, The “God of the country” here means the emperor of heaven. So here in Sima Qian, the Yellow Emperor and Dihu are interlinked with gods, which should be done intentionally, suggesting that there is an element of sacrifice in their records. In addition, the word “Ho” of emperor ho is customized, and the traditional form of “Ho” is “Ho”. The image is holding objects with both hands to pray, but it is of no other use except as the name of emperor ho.
The earliest historical records of the worship of the Yellow Emperor are in the spring and Autumn period, so who is worshipping the emperor? The answer is Shang Dynasty. “The book of rites · sacrifice law”: “Yin people were crying and the suburbs were dark, and the ancestors agreed and the ancestors soup.” What do you mean by “Ho” here? “Ho” is obviously a verb. According to the understanding of sacrifice, what about “Ho”? It should be the name of worship, put in the front, combined with the tradition of Yan people worshiping gods, “Ho” should be their supreme God, and Yan people are merchants. “Bookofsongs · Xuanniao” has: “destiny Xuanniao, came down and gave birth to Shang”; “The song of Chu. Heaven asked” has: “Jane and di are on stage, what’s the good news? The mysterious bird sends Yi, and the woman is happy?”, This can also explain the relationship between emperor Hu and the Shang Dynasty. That is to say, Jane Di ate Xuanniao’s eggs and was pregnant. The ancestor deed of Shang was Emperor Hu’s will. The deed was the son of God and God’s agent on earth. The Shang Dynasty also had the legitimacy to rule the world.
Then, how did Dihao become an ancient emperor? After the Shang Dynasty of the Zhou Dynasty, it also needed the legitimacy of rule, so he let his ancestor’s abandoned mother Jiang Yuan also become Dihao’s wife, and also become the yuan imperial concubine, that is, the eldest daughter-in-law, which clearly said that Jane Di was Dihao’s second wife, so Zhou’s ancestor abandoned and became the eldest brother of Shang’s ancestor contract, and Zhou people and merchants also became brothers, so he pulled Dihao from the sky, and Zhou also had the legitimacy to replace it.
After the Tian family replaced the Qi Dynasty, for political needs, they wrote many books, called “the book of the Yellow Emperor”, to improve the status of their ancestors, the Yellow Emperor, and let their ancestors be related to Dihao. Dihao became the descendants of the Yellow Emperor, so Dihao became one of the five emperors. At this point, the Qin people were much smarter. They directly attached the great cause of their ancestors, who were also born by swallowing Xuanniao’s eggs, to Zhuanxu, who was said to be Zhuanxu’s grandson. This also avoided emperor Hu and burned many books of the Yellow Emperor written by Jixia Academy of the state of Qi.
Taishigong should have known this origin clearly when he wrote Shiji, so when he wrote Dihao, he was vague, saying that Dihao had two sons, one was Fang Xun, the other was Zhi, while when he wrote Yin Benji and Zhou Benji, he only said that Jiang Yuan was Dihao’s yuan concubine, and Jane di was Dihao’s second concubine, and did not admit that ziheqi was Dihao’s son, but emphasized their pregnancy, That is, they don’t recognize their relationship with each other and their origins with Dihu.
Why can Di Hu say his name when he was born? The originator of this statement may be the “historical records”. Before that, there was no such statement in the historical records of Dihao, or the relevant data may have been lost. However, from the perspective that Dihao was the God sacrificed in the Shang Dynasty, there was no birth of Dihao. Moreover, compared with other ancient leaders, Dihu is the most special. No historical data directly records who his mother is, that is, if he doesn’t say his name, no one can give him a name.
He said his name was more like a prank of Taishigong, or a prank of others, and was carefully written down by Taishigong. “Xunzi Feixiang” said: “Russia is tied to a company and killed a big city, and everyone cries.” This “crying” is the same sound as “Dihao”, and crying is the first thing for a baby to be born, so Dihao’s so-called self saying of his name is crying at birth, which obviously plays a word game, and also shows in disguise that Dihao is untrue and should be the God of sacrifice in the Shang Dynasty. Although Dihao is untrue, there are still some heirs of Gaoyang family, namely Gaoxin family, so Dihao and Gaoxin family should not be one, It was just confused later.
