In the “nine in one” election for grass-roots public officials in Taiwan held on November 26, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) set “the worst record in the party’s 36 years”:

Among the 21 elected county mayors, the Chinese Kuomintang won 13 seats, the Democratic Progressive Party won 5 seats, the People’s Party won 1 seat, and two others were non party members.

It was noted that the DPP’s card of “fighting against China and Taiwan” failed in this election. Why? In a word, there are too many tricks to cheat!

Before the “nine in one” election, Tsai Ing wen brazenly appointed candidates from all counties and cities without the primary election, and expelled all the more than 20 Democratic Progressive Party members who participated in the election themselves, which shows her “confidence” and ambition.

However, the election result was like a slap in the face, which made the DPP’s crazy smiling face turn into dismay. In this election, the “six capitals” that blue-green most valued, the mayors of Taipei, Xinbei, Taichung and Taoyuan all fell into the pocket of the Kuomintang. The Democratic Progressive Party only kept the “green strongholds” of Kaohsiung and Tainan.

Chen Shizhong, the former head of the health department of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Taipei, wanted to recreate the myth of “Taiwan’s epidemic resistance No.1” while sending him to the top. But how can Taiwan people forget so quickly that it is the Democratic Progressive Party that has led them into a mess of lack of vaccines, masks, antigens, wards and drugs. It is the party’s politicians who have pushed the “high-end vaccine” developed locally and profited from it. It is the Democratic Progressive Party’s weak anti epidemic efforts that have caused “so many children have left”, but they still have to pursue the people’s “rumor making”.

As a result, Chen Shizhong repeatedly met with public protests when he was sweeping the streets in Taipei to pay homage to votes, which severely undermined the morale of the Green Camp. His final vote was only 3/4 of that of his opponent Jiang Wan’an, making the Democratic Progressive Party’s boastful “anti epidemic achievements” a joke.

Taoyuan City is the key town for this blue and green competition. Lin Zhijian, “Xiaoying Boy”, the first candidate of Tsai Ing wen’s high-profile promotion, left the arena because of “plagiarism of papers”. When the DPP changed its general, Zheng Yunpeng, the representative of the public opinion, rushed to the battle. However, this “anti China cadre” was exposed to doing business in the mainland. The DPP’s lie of “fighting against China and protecting Taiwan” was defeated by Zhang Shanzheng.

In Xinbei and Taichung, Hou Youyi and Lu Xiuyan, who were re elected by the Kuomintang, were both elected with about 60% of the votes. In Tainan City, Pingdong County and other counties and cities that used to be considered “green is far more than blue”, the invoicing results showed that the election was very tight. The Taiwan media believe that these results are enough to “frighten the Democratic Progressive Party”.

Why did the DPP fail miserably? The reason, of course, is that the work is too bad and there are too many bad deeds. No amount of lies can be covered up.

Over the past six years since taking office, the DPP’s arrogance index has soared. From the beginning, it claimed that it would be “humble and humble again”, but later, it never admitted mistakes. Lin Zhijian, the “Xiaoying boy”, was confronted with the “thesis gate”. The evidence of plagiarism is conclusive, and I have acquiesced to leave the scene. Cai Ing wen also wants to escort the whole party and cry out grievances from beginning to end.

Whether it is to import American pork, open up Japanese nuclear food, or prohibit enterprises and institutions in the island from donating when they can’t buy vaccines for a long time, the Democratic Progressive Party will never say “I’m sorry” after the matter is revealed, no matter how turbulent the public opinion is.

Encouraged by the “Taiwan card” of the United States, the Democratic Progressive Party has become increasingly expansive in recent years. The “anti China” provocations have intensified. It has taken advantage of the epidemic to seek “independence” and relied on the United States to seek “independence”, gradually pushing Taiwan to the brink of war. Taiwan’s China Times commented that many Taiwanese people are worried about the imminent risk of war and believe that the reason is that the Democratic Progressive Party provokes the mainland, so they will not vote for the Democratic Progressive Party naturally.

In order to embrace the United States, the Democratic Progressive Party spent all the people’s money and money to buy waste weapons, which forced TSMC to move to the United States and become an “American Semiconductor”, which also worried Taiwanese.

As for the consequences of the Democratic Progressive Party’s destruction of cross-strait relations, Taiwan’s current affairs commentator Xie Zhichuan believed that the Democratic Progressive Party lost its advantage in Pingtung and other dark green counties and cities because “local voters have gradually awakened”. Since Tsai Ing wen took office, she refused to acknowledge the “1992 Consensus”, which led to further deterioration of cross-strait relations. Not only did the tourism industry in the south lose mainland visitors, but also the pipelines for the sale of pineapples, lotus mists and groupers in agriculture and fishery were interrupted

In addition, pushing unrealistic energy policies to make Taiwan suffer from power shortage crisis, turning the “forward-looking” plan into the “money stained” plan for the benefit sharing of Lvying County and City, and not building water conservancy to make the island seriously short of water… All these are the key points for Taiwanese to “hate the DPP”.

So, isn’t the “Anti China and Taiwan” card that the DPP must use every time it comes to a critical juncture not used this time?

The answer is yes, but it doesn’t work.

The Democratic Progressive Party deliberately characterized the election as “not only a local election”, but “deciding what kind of message Taiwan wants to send to the world”, with the intention of finding a source of “resistance to China”.

When Chen Shizhong found that the election was unfavorable, he shouted that he had “anti China Taiwan DNA”. When the entire green camp found that the election was unfavorable, it began to expand the popularity of Zhang Shanzheng, the candidate for mayor of Taoyuan of the Chinese Kuomintang, and even Gao Hong’an, the leading professor of the candidate for mayor of Hsinchu of the People’s Party, was called a “red scholar” in the United States.

After a series of political operations, the DPP met with a rebuke. Instead, Ma Ying jeou wrote a sentence before the election, “Vote for the Democratic Progressive Party, and young people go to the battlefield”, which aroused strong resonance among Taiwanese.

The truth behind the “anti China and Taiwan protection” is also very simple: the so-called extreme will turn against the Democratic Progressive Party’s tactics that have been tried and tried repeatedly in the election have given many people in the island a more intuitive understanding of the danger of “Taiwan independence”. What the Democratic Progressive Party has done has also made the island keenly aware of the consequences of the destruction of cross-strait relations, and has rediscovered the value of the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.

As Zhu Fenglian, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the People’s Republic of China, said, the “nine in one” election results actually reflect the mainstream public opinion of “seeking peace, stability and a good life” in the island.

Who doesn’t want to live a good life? Who would like to be tied to the “Taiwan independence” chariot? This simple truth determines that sooner or later the lies of the Democratic Progressive Party will be unsustainable, and the trend of cross-strait closer ties cannot be changed.
